Two cars were seized by police officers after they were seen being driven dangerously and anti-socially.

Dozens of drivers met on Southend seafront on Saturday September 7 to share their passion for cars, and police have emphasised that the vast majority did so safely.

Police officers also attended the event to speak to members of the public and keep people safe.

Two vehicles were seen wheel spinning dangerously close to members of the public , with the drivers behaving recklessly and without consideration for the pedestrians close to their vehicles.

As a result police seized both under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002.

A police spokesman said: "We’d like to thank the vast majority of people driving on the seafront for doing so safely."
