Train services across the entire c2c network are severely disrupted following a failure in the electricity supply between Leigh and Shoebury.

Although all lines have now been reopened, services remain affected, with cancellations, delays, and revisions expected to continue until at least 10pm tonight.

The disruption has impacted routes across the c2c network, which connects London Fenchurch Street to areas of Essex, including Southend and Shoebury.

In response, Greater Anglia is offering assistance by conveying passengers between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria in both directions.

c2c rail tickets will be accepted on these alternative routes for the duration of the disruption.

Commuters are advised to check for updates before traveling and to expect extended travel times.

A spokesman for c2c said: "Due to failure of the electricity supply between Leigh and Shoebury, train services running across the whole c2c network may be cancelled, delayed, or revised."
