THRILLED nursery staff are celebrating after earning a “Good” rating during their first ever inspection.
Twizzle Tops Day Nursery in Christchurch Road, Southend, was given the rating following an inspection on August 9.
Inspectors praised the behaviour of the children and the bonds they have with staff.
The nursery first opened its doors in 2022 and now provides care for 150 children, all under the age of four.
The report, published this week, stated: “Babies and children are happy and content. Babies are inquisitive as they explore their surroundings.
“Children are well behaved. They make friends easily and are sociable and independent.
“Children grow in confidence as they move through the nursery.
“Children form close bonds with staff and are confident to ask questions and request new resources.”
The report also enthusiastically highlights that “leaders and staff develop good partnerships with parents”.
It adds: “They provide parents with regular information about their children’s learning.
“Parents report that the staff are very caring and their children are making good progress.
“Staff ask parents to complete questionnaires to help them evaluate the effectiveness of the nursery.
“Leaders observe staff regularly and discuss with them if any improvements can be made.”
Inspectors were also quick to praise the quality of education at the nursery which benefits all children, including those with special educational needs.
The report continues: “Leaders and staff design a curriculum that is ambitious and takes account of the needs of individual children.”
Katie Franklin, managing director at Twizzle Tops Day Nursery, was over the moon with the inspection She said: “We are thrilled.
“All our staff work incredibly hard to give our children an enriching and comfortable learning environment. It is important to us that parents are confident they can trust us with their most precious gifts, their children.”
“Being rated ‘good’ means Ofsted recognises the fantastic environment we have created at Southchurch, and shows our commitment has really paid off.”
