Aircraft enthusiasts and families have been given a final unique chance to explore the legendary Avro Vulcan XL426 bomber in Southend this year.
The Vulcan Restoration Trust is inviting people to the final "Visit the Vulcan Day" of the year, at London Southend Airport, on Sunday, September 22.
This event will allow people to get up close and personal with the Avro Vulcan XL426 bomber, and learn about its history.
People will be able to walk around the Vulcan, and for an extra fee, they will be able to take a guided tour of the cockpit.
The event will also have a number of displays, including of weapons the Vulcan carried during its time in service and military vehicles.
There will also be a number of historical re-enactments throughout the day.
For those with a passion for classic vehicles, historic fire engines will be on show, along with a selection of radio-controlled models.
To complete the experience, visitors can enjoy a variety of hot and cold refreshments, with a licensed bar available.
The Vulcan Hangar Shop will be open, offering a wide range of Vulcan souvenirs, from models and badges to jams and books.
Tickets are available both at the gate and in advance, although there is no need to book ahead for under-16s.
Visitors are encouraged to book these tickets early as availability is limited.
General admission is £8 for adults, while under-16s can attend for free.
Cockpit tours are an additional £8.00 per person and will operate on a timed ticket basis to avoid long queues.
Gates open at 10am with the last admission at 4pm.
