Leigh Road Baptist Church pre-school has celebrated its 50th anniversary of serving the local community.
The pre-school, founded on April 30, 1973, has served the Leigh community for five decades.
The school marked the milestone on Sunday, with a special celebration featuring cake, candles, balloons, and a display of photos chronicling its history.
Andrew Palmer, chair of the pre-school steering group, said: "We are reminded of God's faithfulness in providing for this ministry over the decades.
"From its humble beginnings to the thriving pre-school we see today, it has always been a place where children are nurtured, families are supported, and God's love is shared."
The pre-school began with three sessions a week for 16 children, supported by four staff members.
It now runs eight weekly sessions for about 30 children, with 63 children currently enrolled and 10 staff members.
Mr Palmer expressed gratitude to all staff, past and present, saying: "Your care, commitment, and passion are what make this pre-school the blessing it is to the community."
