These five perfect pooches at Basildon's Dogs Trust rehoming centre are looking for their forever homes.
Dice, Rottweiler
This cuddly, handsome lad is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. The centre have said Dice will be fine to have walking buddies once he has settled into his new home, and is able to live with aged 14 and over. Staff have described him as a “friendly boy” who often greets visitors with a “waggy tail.”
Haggis, Lurcher
This good boy is seeking an active home that can match his energy, and channel this into training and exploring new places. The centre have said he is suitable to live with children aged 11 and over. The nearly two-year-old lurcher came to the Dogs Trust with no previous history. They have said he loves food and is a big fan of puzzle games to keep him mentally stimulated.
Delta, German Shepherd
Three-year-old Delta is desperate for her forever home and is comfortable living with children aged 14 and over. The centre have said he would need to be the only dog in the home, and added she does not like to be left alone. Delta has sadly not been around other dogs and people much and staff have described her as “quite sheltered,” but added she has so much love and affection to give to the right owner.
Cookie, Shih Tzu Cross
Cookie has been described by Dogs Trust staff as a “bouncy” lad who is absolutely “full of beans.” A bundle of energy, the centre are seeking owners who can match this enthusiasm and help him with his housetraining. They added Cookie could live with another dog who matches his “playful style” and keep up with him.
Jodie, Border Collie
This lovely older lady is looking for a “special” home where she can live her life to the fullest. The centre have said any prospective owner would need to provide her with a variety of walks to fulfil her need to explore. They have recommended she live with children aged 14 and over, and will only be able to be left alone for a maximum of four hours. She would like to be the only dog in the home, but is happy to have a calm walking buddy to go out and about with.
