COLCHESTER is set to gain an exciting new addition to its Primark branch as the clothing chain rolls out a popular service to more of its UK stores.

Primark is set to expand its click and collect service to 54 more stores before the end of the year.

The service allows shoppers to order clothes online and then pick them up in-store and, while the service is free, there is a minimum spend of £10.

First launched as part of a trial in 2022, the expansion of the service coincides with the celebration of Primark's 50th anniversary on the British High Street.

Kari Rodgers, UK retail director at Primark, said: “It’s been 50 years since we first opened our doors in Derby to bring affordable fashion to the British high street and expanding Click & Collect is another way we are giving people more reasons to visit their local high street and Primark.

"We know our customers love its convenience and the opportunity to access our wider ranges typically only found in larger stores.

"We’re thrilled to reveal the new stores to offer the service and extend access to our ranges even further before the busy Christmas shopping period begins.”

How does it work?

You can order selected items online from Primark's range of women’s, men’s kids’, baby and home products, for collection on a day of your choosing.

If you spot something you like that’s not available to Click and Collect, you can use the stock checker tool to see if it’s available to buy in your chosen store when you pick up your order.

After purchase, shoppers can go in-sore, skip the queue, and collect their items at a dedicated till and pay for any additional items.

Click and collect is an alternative to an online shop, which the huge retail chain does not have.
