A FORMER long-standing store transformed into a "modern" new Domino's takeaway has opened its doors bringing 30 new jobs to Westcliff.

A grand opening ceremony was held yesterday where Mac Felton, a trustee from Southend-based homelessness charity Harp, cut the ribbon and unveiled the revamped 297 London Road store.

Excited - the store teamExcited - the store team (Image: Domino's) Customers were invited to meet the new 30-strong store team, from pizza chefs to delivery drivers, and try some freshly prepared food with free pizzas handed to the first 100 diners through the doors.

Sree Uppalanchi, area manager of the Westcliff store, said: “We are delighted to launch our new store in Westcliff, delivering 30 new jobs to the local area.

Domino's is open seven days a week from 11am until 11pm serving up the chain's favourites, including Pepperoni Passion and Vegi Supreme alongside new additions such as the recently launched Ultimate Korean BBQ Chicken and £4 lunch range.
