The weather in Southend and Basildon this weekend is expected to be sunny and mild after a week of heavy rain.
Three Met Office warnings were issued across Essex this week for heavy rain and strong winds with flooding seen in parts of the county. However, this weekend will see a briefly drier interlude of weather.
On Saturday, the forecast shows the day will start cool with early morning lows of around 7°C in Southend.
However, according to the Met Office, as the day progresses, temperatures will rise to a comfortable 14°C, with clear skies and sunshine.
Basildon will experience similar conditions, with temperatures ranging from 6°C in the early hours to a high of 14°C by mid-afternoon.
The weather will stay sunny throughout the day, providing plenty of opportunities for residents to enjoy the early autumn sunshine.
On Sunday, in Southend and Basildon will be mild with a mix of sunshine and clouds, according to the Met Office.
In Southend, the day will start with sunny intervals, but clouds are expected to move in by late morning.
Temperatures will reach a high of 15°C, with lows around 11°C in the early morning.
Basildon will again experience similar conditions, with temperatures ranging from 11°C to a high of 15°C.
Sunny intervals will give way to cloudy skies by mid-morning, but it will remain dry throughout the day.
Overall, the weekend will bring comfortable autumn weather.
