A beloved balloon business has secured its future after concerns to would have to shut if it could not find a new home.

Justina Morrell, owner of Heartfelt Balloons, in Hadleigh, was “racing against the clock” as she frantically looked for a new home for the business.

Mrs Morrell has been running the balloon business on London Road for more than a decade, but last month she was told that she would need to vacate the premises by October to make room for a new firm set to open at the site.

After weeks of desperately trying to keep the business going and keep it in Hadleigh, Mrs Morrel has found a new home at 325 London Road.

She said: “We finally did it.

“The last few months have been rather stressful, and I must admit I did think at one point I would have to close my business.

“So, it is such a relief that we have somewhere new, and also the fact that I have managed to stay in Hadleigh too.

“There was the potential of moving to different areas, but to me it didn’t feel right as my customer base and whole community with me is in Hadleigh.

“So, I am very, very happy. It feels like a fresh start.”

The moving date is yet to be confirmed but it is believed to be around the end of October.

Until then, the business is open as usual at the current site.

After Mrs Morrel shared on social media that she urgently needed to find a new location, the community's support has flooded in.

Mrs Morrel added: “The support from community has been fantastic.

“It really is overwhelming. All the posts and comments really does feel you with a sense of this is why we do it.

“It is so overwhelming and heartwarming to read the support behind me.

“I feel very blessed to have found somewhere new as there aren’t a lot of properties available, especially in Hadleigh, so to be able to remain here is amazing.”
