A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after an altercation in Colchester city centre.

Police were called to an incident in the High Street just before midnight on Friday September 27.

Officers found a man with an injury to his head who was taken to hospital.

His injury was not though to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A 25 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and has been released on police bail.

Police said enquiries are on-going.

Detective Inspector Jason Scrivener said: “Our investigation is continuing at pace.

“There were a lot of people in the area outside Coda and I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has any footage to get in touch.

“I understand this is concerning, but I want to reassure people that we believe this to be an isolated incident and our officers are working to understand the circumstances.”
