Christmas has come early to a popular garden centre on the south Essex border as its new festive store is set to be unveiled - 74 days ahead of the holiday.

Upminster Garden Centre, in Nags Head Lane close to Great Warley, is kicking off its Christmas festivities two months early with its new festive shop due to open on Saturday, October 12.

The store, which is part of the UK's largest family-run garden centre group British Garden Centres, is overflowing with an array of decorations for everyone from the classic reds and greens to modern winter themes of silver and white and even romantic pastel pinks.

In addition to its extensive Christmas products, the store will also offer a range of gifts, including toys, puzzles, games, homeware, and pet products.

Bookings are also now open for the centre's popular Christmas events. From festive feasts to magical encounters with Santa, there's something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Dog owners can bring their pooches to meet Father Christmas individually at breakfast with the Santa Paws events, so they can grab the perfect photo of Santa with his new little helper.

Families can also enjoy a magical morning filled with fun, games and tasty treats, culminating in a special visit from Santa Claus with the Breakfast with Santa, while the Afternoon Tea with Santa sees youngsters enjoy a lunch with the jolly man himself and younger parents can bring their tots along for the Mrs Claus and Baby experiences.
