A COSY pub in a historic building with links to the Tudors has welcomed back customers after an extensive near three-week refurbishment.
Boasting a brighter, more modern look, Rayleigh Lodge has re-opened after a complete transformation while keeping the traditional feel pub-goers "know and love".
A refreshed bar, new furniture and an expanded dining space are some of the new changes which have been made to provide guests with a relaxed and warm environment to enjoy their visit.
The pub, at 70 The Chase, has also updated its menu to include a wide range of new dishes including chicken schnitzel, "rainbow" lasagne, a cheese and bacon burger and steaks.
Tom Dixon, general manager at The Rayleigh Lodge, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome guests, both familiar faces and new friends, to experience our pub’s new look, whilst keeping the cosy feel of The Rayleigh Lodge we all know and love.”
Serving up great quality food, the pub offers a fixed price menu with three courses available for £11.49 from 12pm until 5pm, Monday to Friday, and £14.79 after 5pm.
There is also a fixed price Sunday lunch menu with up to three courses available, including the classic pub roast, with guests able to add a three sides bundle of cauliflower cheese, stuffing wrapped in bacon and Yorkshire puddings for only £6.49.
The pub hosts a popular pub quiz every Wednesday from 8.30pm which is best to pre-book for.
