Detectives investigating an assault where a teenager was punched in the face several times in broad daylight are appealing for witnesses.

An assault took place in High Street, Wickford, at around 8.40am last Tuesday, when a 19-year-old man was punched to the face several times by a teenage boy.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information that could assist our investigation.

"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us."
