A PRIMARY school has warned parents of a "suspicious person" over an alleged indecent exposure incident near a south Essex school.
In a message sent to families titled "suspicious person alert", seen by the Echo, St Peter's Catholic Primary School in Billericay has urged parents to remain vigilant after an incident where a man was allegedly seen exposing himself in an alleyway next to Sunnymede Reception playground.
Police have confirmed they are investigating an incident where a man "exposed himself" in Monoux Close.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We are investigating following an incident where a man exposed himself in Monoux Close, Billericay.
"We received a report at 3.40pm on Tuesday 1 October.
"The man is described as white, slim, in his mid-30s to mid-40s, with dark but greying hair, and stubble, and wearing a dark jacket and sunglasses.
"Our enquiries are ongoing.
"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
"Please quote the crime reference number 42/149901/24."
