An independent consumer survey has ranked c2c as Great Britain's top train operator for passenger satisfaction.
The Rail User Survey, conducted by Transport Focus, asked passengers about their rail travel experiences and their satisfaction with their most recent journey.
From a sample taken over the past seven months, c2c achieved an overall customer satisfaction score of 94 per cent, the highest among 21 train operating companies.
Abu Siddeeq, customer experience director at c2c, said: "This result demonstrates how hard our colleagues are working for our customers in London and Essex and it is motivating for us all to see what we are getting right.
"We also saw improvements from the last wave of Rail User Survey results in punctuality, reliability and information shared during the journey.
"However, we are not complacent and have a constant flow of upgrades across our business to improve the travelling experience for customers."
The company has recently made significant progress in its Wi-Fi improvements project, energy efficiencies, and the increased capacity of its new 720 trains.
There has also been substantial investment in the new Driver Simulator Academy at Southend Central station, and ongoing work to refurbish and repair its fleet of 357 trains.
