The Northern Lights are visible across large parts of south Essex again tonight - months after a stunning display lit up the skies in the county.

Stargazers across the country have been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, on numerous occasions already in 2024.

The most prominent for south Essex - including Southend and Basildon - was a Northern Lights display in May with readers sending in their stunning pictures.

If you haven't managed to see them yet, you should head outside now.

Several members of the Echo's Facebook Camera Club page have been busy looking to the sky and capturing this magnificent display.

Here are some pictures from south Essex.
