A ten-day self guided trail through the very best Southend venues for cocktail lovers has been announced. 

Southend Cocktail Week is running from Friday October 18 to Sunday October 27, organised by Southend's Business Improvement District who work to promote the High Street and businessowners in the city. 

The event is sponsored by train company c2c 

A spokesman said: "This is a great opportunity for cocktail lovers to sample tantalizing signature cocktails, bag some cocktail deals, and enjoy events in a variety of venues in Southend."

Businesses taking part include the Genting Casino, on the seafront, Bunker 19 in Alexandra Street, Sunrooms2 in Market Place, Wagamama and Caddies in London Road, Slug and Lettuce in Southchurch Road, the Royal Hotel in the High Street, Grosvenor Casino in Church Road and many more.
