Southend was bathed in pink over the weekend as dozens of people turned out for the Pink Pier Walk.
On Saturday, Southend played host to the Pink Pier Walk, an event organised by Active Life and the Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust.
Participants strolled to the end of Southend Pier, where they illuminated the seafront with a vibrant display of pink lights, symbolising solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
The charity event aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and attracted dozens of participants, despite the rain.
A small fee of £5 was charged for those taking part to raise money for the meaningful cause.
The total raised is yet to be confirmed.
A spokesman for the Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust said: "The Pink Pier Walk was a superb event with a great turn out from the community who came together to support Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust as well as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
"It was wonderful to have support from the Mayor of Southend also, who even walked the pier with us.
"We did this event in partnership with local CIC Active Life Essex who chose us as their charity of the year to support, for which we are grateful and have joined together on some great events so far.
"Due to the success of this event, we hope to repeat it again but bigger and better for next year.
"Active Life are happy to support a cause so close to many peoples hearts and to work closely with us as a local charity so that we can make an impact in our community."
