AN Australian doughnut company where you can create your own masterpiece is set to make its UK debut with a new treat bar at a Primark store in south Essex.
Lena Lu Donuts will open its first UK location in October at Primark Lakeside, in West Thurrock, on Saturday, October 19.
To welcome the international doughnut company, the first 100 customers will receive a free donut on its opening day.
Originating in Australia, Lena Lu Donuts offers a menu of sweet donuts, bagels, coffees and shakes. Each Lena Lu location features a doughnut bar area where the donut artists are on hand to help customers create their own doughnut masterpieces.
Delicious Lena Lu "Megashakes" can also be customised in the store, opening at 10am on Saturday.
Alternatively, if Primark shoppers need a well-earned rest and a sweet indulgent pick-me-up, the grab-and-go areas at each store feature Lena Lu’s favourite flavour combinations of donuts.
The signatures include cookies and cream, jam, chocolate hazelnut, Biscoff crunch, and chocolate overload. A range of dough and butter puddings - which are warm chunky doughnuts with custard and a choice of topping - and mini pops are on offer too.
The first Lena Lu kitchen started as a family affair in Perth, Western Australia, and grew to expand overseas to the United Arab Emirates. From there, the brand has expanded globally.
