TWO horrified women have claimed they were followed from Shoebury station to their home in a terrifying ordeal in the middle of the night.

Hannah Hoswell-Sims, 30, and her wife Holly, 32, claim they were tailed by the man who followed them for ten minutes before lurking outside their home shouting after they fled inside.

According to the couple, the man followed them from outside Shoebury station when they got off a train all the way to their front door despite them running in an attempt to lose him.

Badly shaken by the incident and concerned for the safety of women and girls in her community, Hannah wants to warn people to stay safe.

The incident has been reported to police and the force has been contacted for comment by the Echo.

Hannah said: “It was the most petrifying thing I have been through; he was shouting gibberish that didn’t make sense.

“We couldn’t sleep, we were so shaken up and we have no idea of his intention, the feeling was almost nauseous, you almost feel sick with worry.

“We had no idea what he wanted and there is the insecurity of being followed to your own house, even now, me and my wife panic and look out our windows.

“This was a nice road and we get on so well with people here and he has ruined and tainted that.”

Hannah added that recently her wife has been picking her up for the short drive from the station to her home and she is “looking behind her back” if she is getting the train or is near the station.

Hannah added: “I want other women to be aware that he is out here.

“If women are walking home and are unaware and he is living in the area, I don’t want them to go through what I did.

“It was terrifying with two of us.”
