Trains running through c2c’s Southend Central station are disrupted this evening after a lightning strike has damaged the electricity supply.
Services via Southend Central may be cancelled, delayed or revised tonight due to lightning damaging the electricity supply between Shoebury and Thorpe Bay before 9pm.
Services are currently unable to run between Southend Central and Shoebury. Replacement bus services are being sourced with the first buses expected to start arriving at 10.30pm.
Anyone whose journey has been disrupted by more than 15 minutes, may be entitled to cash compensation. Visit orlo.uk/3vn2R for information on how to claim.
