A PUMPKIN patch loved by the likes of Denise Van Outen and Stacey Solomon has been welcoming hundreds of smiling families for its spooky activities this month.
Husband and wife, Guy and Emily French, of Foxes Farm Produce, have opened their farm gates to the public for a host of Halloween activities.
They run two of the biggest pumpkin patches in Essex - on Wash Road, Noak Bridge, near Basildon and just outside Colchester.
As well as pumpkin picking, people can enjoy a corn maze trail game, picnic, a giant inflatable pillow pumpkin, a bale mountain, sack races, football goals, a scavenger hunt, farm obstacles and refreshments including pumpkin-flavoured beer, cider and hot chocolate.
There is also twilight pumpkin picking, where brave Halloween enthusiasts can navigate the corn maze in darkness, for a spooky night-time experience.
Owner Emily French said: “It has been lovely to see the pumpkin fields full of happy smiling families enjoying the perfect autumnal activity –picking pumpkins together.
“We have thousands of pick your own pumpkins in different varieties to choose from, with more than 30 varieties from blue doll to white miniature baby boos.
“We have lots of photo opportunities including the Fergie tractor and more.”
“We also have a field of fun for families to enjoy including a corn maze with game, bale mountain, football goals, slide, ride on tractors and farm obstacles.
“Not forgetting the perfect hot chocolates for the parents to enjoy whilst the children play.
