A major road through Canvey is set to be closed for four nights to allow vital roadworks to begin.
Castle Point Council has issued an update that Canvey Way will be closed from October 21 for four nights from 8pm to 5am.
A spokesman said: "The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Essex County Council undertakes machine patching works."
The work aims to smoothen the road and reduce issues with potholes on the busy road, running from the Sadlers Farm Roundabout down to the junction with Canvey Road.
