An iconic 1980s singer has cancelled his headline show at the Cliffs Pavilion tonight due to illness.
Adam Ant, best known as frontman of Adam and the Ants, has cancelled his show at the Cliffs Pavilion in Westcliff tonight, citing a "severe cold."
A spokesman said: "The Adam Ant show tonight is postponed.
"It is with regret that Adam Ant has been forced to rest, to make a full recovery from a severe cold.
"He is extremely disappointed and sends deepest apologies to everyone, we are hoping to reschedule the show."
Ticketholders were contacted an hour and a half in advance with the unfortunate news, though are being promised further contact as soon as organisers have news on future dates.
