TWO men are appearing in court today after reports a Range Rover was stolen and a bank card was allegedly used in several places in Southend.
Police received a report of a stolen Range Rover from the Leigh area shortly after midnight on Friday. A bank card that was inside the car was reportedly used in several places in the Southend area.
Police officers were deployed to Southend and found the vehicle in Central Avenue at around 2am.
They arrested two men nearby.
Michael Morris, 46, of Danbury Close, Leigh, and Daniel Wright, 30, of Preston Road, Westcliff, have been remanded into police custody to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today.
Both men have been charged with theft of a vehicle and two counts of theft from vehicle, going equipped and three counts of fraud by false representation.
