Motorists are asked to be patient as police are attending an incident near the Dartford Crossing.
The M25 has been closed on the clockwise carriageway at the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.
The closure has affected the road between J30 Lakeside and Purfleet to J1A at Dartford.
Trapped traffic will be diverted via the right-hand tunnel shortly, while emergency services are at the scene.
