Cineworld Basildon, nestled in Festival Leisure Park, is celebrating a successful September with a series of achievements, highlighted by the smash-hit release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Bosses have described seeing a large influx of movie enthusiasts eager to catch the highly anticipated "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice."
The film, directed by Tim Burton, was the most popular of the month, with its humorous and slightly scary portrayal of the mischievous demon Beetlejuice drawing in crowds.
Complementing the movie magic, the cinema's food offerings saw unprecedented sales, with the on-site Starbucks brewing more than 3,000 cappuccinos and the Pick 'n' Mix counter reaching sweet heights.
The quantity of sweets sold in September was equivalent to the weight of 15 family cars.
As Halloween nears, Cineworld is gearing up for an exciting October, featuring new horror films and a spooky ice cream treat Baskin Robbins - white chocolate ghost pepper ice cream.
Matthew Chambers, centre manager at Festival Leisure Park, said: “We are thrilled to see the continued success of Cineworld here at Festival Leisure Park.
"We pride ourselves on being the ultimate leisure destination in the area, and of course no trip to the Park is complete without a visit to the cinema.
"Book your tickets online or on one of the digital screens, choose your snacks, and get ready for an epic movie experience, followed by some delicious food at one of our many restaurants.
"We look forward to welcoming you."
This positive news comes as Cineworld confirmed the five locations in the UK which will close after the company narrowly avoided administration.
Cineworld at Festival Leisure Park has been described as the "perfect spot" for an evening out with friends and family, offering 4DX, IMAX, and IMAX 3D screenings with comfortable seating and outstanding sound.
Visits are perfectly paired with a trip to one of the many food outlets available on site, including Wagamama, Nando’s, Five Guys, Bella Italia, and the upcoming arrival of Slim Chickens in November.
The venue also offers free parking.
