This weekend's weather forecast for Southend and Basildon is expected to be mild and mostly dry, according to the Met Office.
On Saturday, both areas will experience a mix of sunny intervals and light cloud cover.
Temperatures will start cool in the morning, around 7°C, but will rise to a comfortable 13-14°C by midday.
Winds will be light, coming from the west and southwest at around 5-10 mph.
There’s a very low chance of rain, with a less than 10 per cent chance of any showers throughout the day.
Sunday will follow a similar pattern, with sunny intervals in the morning and more consistent cloud cover in the afternoon.
Temperatures will peak at 14°C, and the wind will remain gentle, with some light breezes of up to 10 mph.
It will feel quite pleasant with little risk of rain, making it an ideal day to enjoy a number of Halloween events across south Essex.
Overall, the weekend is shaping up to be dry, with a good amount of sunshine, particularly in the morning hours, before cloudier skies move in later in the day.
