An “outstanding” preschool has been hailed for its “ambitious curriculum” as children “make exceptional progress” under its care in Basildon.
Noak Bridge Pre-School, located on Coppice Lane, Basildon, has been awarded an “outstanding” rating across all categories in its latest Ofsted inspection, carried out on October 3.
The pre-school was previously rated as “good” but inspectors highlighted the dedication of the management team and staff, who have crafted a highly ambitious curriculum, to help make improvements.
The report, published on Friday, stated: “The dedicated management team and equally committed staff have created a highly ambitious curriculum.
“The ‘curiosity’ approach to learning and ‘in-the-moment’ planning underpin their curriculum intent.
“Staff have a secure knowledge of how to implement the challenging education programme through a play-based approach.
“They ensure that all children receive the support and guidance they need to thrive and that they flourish in confidence in all areas of learning.”
Inspectors also found that the children make exceptional progress and thrive at Noak Bridge Pre-School.
The report added: “All children make exceptional progress from their starting points. Children eagerly arrive and immerse themselves in activities of their choice, and they leave their parents with ease.
“A highly effective key-person system is in place and children form trusting and secure relationships.Children have a strong sense of self-worth. Staff have extremely high expectations of children’s behaviour, which is exemplary.”
At the time of the inspection there were 99 pupils at the preschool.
Following the inspection, a spokesman for the preschool said: “We at Noak Bridge Preschool are thrilled to have received our outstanding Ofsted rating.
“We are immensely proud of the team’s hard work and dedication.
“As a setting we pride ourselves on the learning opportunities we provide, helping the children achieve their true potential whilst also providing a safe, loving and exciting environment to do so in.
“The team go above and beyond what is expected, and it is such a rewarding and gratifying moment to have this recognised by Ofsted.
“We would like to thank our parents and surrounding community for their continuous support and look forward to celebrating our fantastic achievement.”
