A NEW Halloween fun park with a big wheel, dodgems and a "hotel of terror" fun house has opened today.
The fun park opened was unveiled today at The Destination, located by The Quay at Lakeside Shopping centre.
Open throughout half-term until Sunday, November 3, the park will be open daily from 12pm to 9pm and features a line-up of Halloween-themed activities.
Visitors can expect classic rides such as dodgems, the waltzer and games to win fun prizes, as well as new seasonal rides with a spooky twist to set the mood for Halloween - including the Hotel of Terror fun house.
With the arrival of the new big wheel and big top circus, alongside eerie lighting effects for a true Halloween experience in the evening, there is something for all of the family to enjoy at the West Thurrock attraction.
Attendees can also pick their very own pumpkin ready to be carved and put on display, with sizes ranging from small to large. Free wheelbarrows will also be available to get them home safe.
Brogan Bowden, owner of The Destination at Lakeside, commented: “We’re back and looking better than ever this Halloween with the arrival of our highly anticipated Halloween Fun Park.
“Hit the rides, grab a tasty bite to eat and enjoy the spooky atmosphere until Sunday 3rd November, and don’t forget you can even pick your very own pumpkin to take home and carve.
"Tell your friends and family, you won’t want to miss out on this one. See you there!”
As well as fun rides, there are a range of treats on offer including fresh doughnuts, hot chocolates, burgers and more.
Also set to return at The Destination is the popular Christmas attraction, which will feature even more seasonal rides, plus an ice rink to glide into the festive season.
Opening on November 15, the all weather, fully covered rink will be the perfect opportunity for skaters to show off their moves or try a new hobby, complete with Christmas music and skate aids for those who require them.
