A teenager from Billericay has been charged following an incident which left two people injured.
Police were called to an incident in Chelmsford’s High Street on Friday at about 11.55pm.
A man had been allegedly punched and fell back, hitting his head on the pavement, Essex Police said.
The man suffered a serious head injury and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Police said a second man was allegedly assaulted and suffered injuries which are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Luca Tracey, of St Agnes Road, Billericay has been arrested and charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The 18-year-old is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 28.
Essex Police are urging anyone with information regarding the alleged incident to come forward, citing incident 1534 of October 25.
