A BEAUTIFUL new steam train trip has been revealed taking passengers from Essex to a beautiful countryside village.
Steam Dreams will be departing from Colchester Station on August 9, 2025, on a scenic journey to Paignton and Kingswear via Dawlish.
Steam Dreams is a company that offers steam train journeys and holidays taking passengers on a vintage-like experience with incredible views.
The carriage will depart at 7am from Colchester Station and return at 10.40pm.
A Stream Dream spokesman said: "Our journey begins at Colchester railway station, as our liveried steward welcomes you aboard the sumptuous vintage carriages.
"Our train will stop at stations across Essex to pick up passengers before crossing the Capital and travelling along the Thames Valley before being joined by our steam locomotive in Taunton.
"From here the panoramic views unfold beyond the window as we run along the estuary of the Exe River.
"Sweeping round the mouth of the river, we run along the seashore for mile after mile before joining the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway where our steam locomotive will be put through its paces as she climbs high above the Devon hills before descending into the Dart Estuary at Kingswear."
There are two tickets types, Pullman Dining tickets are available from £425 and include meals, drinks and comfortable four or two person seats.
First Class tickets can be purchased from £220 and do not include food.
