A teenager has been left shaken after being "grabbed by his clothing" by two suspects who stole his phone in Chalkwell.

Essex Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Beach Avenue, Chalkwell, on Friday.

Officers were called at around 5:30pm after a teenage boy was approached by two suspects who grabbed him by his clothing and demanded his phone.

The suspects then fled the scene with the boy's phone.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called at around 5.30pm on Friday 25 October to reports of a robbery in the area of Beach Avenue, Chalkwell.

“It was reported a teenage boy was approached by two suspects, who grabbed him by his clothing and demanded his phone.

“The suspects left the scene with his phone.

“The victim was left uninjured but shaken. Our enquiries are ongoing.
