THREE people have been hospitalised following a crash in Chalkwell which saw an air ambulance landing near the scene.
Multiple ambulance crews, including a rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer vehicle and air ambulance, were sent to the scene of a crash in the Ridgeway, Westcliff yesterday.
Members of the public saw an air ambulance making its descent into Chalkwell Park in response to the crash.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called just before 3.15pm yesterday to a road traffic collision on the Ridgeway in Westcliff.
"Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
"The air ambulance was stood down shortly after arriving on scene as it was not required.
"Three patients were transported to Southend University Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
