Residents across Southend may hear gunfire and explosions next week as MOD Shoebury has issued a warning.
QinetiQ, which operates the range at Shoebury on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), has revealed it has activities scheduled to take place on the range next week.
No explosive activity is expected on Monday, however, explosions could be heard from the site at 8.30am on Tuesday.
Gunfire and explosions may also be heard at 8.30am the following day, on Wednesday, and explosions will take place again at 8.30am on Thursday.
The range will be active next Friday, but no explosive activity is expected.
If members of the public have any concerns about range activity, they can call the freephone Careline on 0800 0560108.
