A TEENAGE boy was 'threatened with a knife' and robbed of personal and valuable possessions in Basildon yesterday evening.
Two teenage boys had reportedly approached the 16-year-old victim in the Fodderwick area of Basildon just after 7pm on Saturday night (2 November).
The thieves 'threatened him with a knife' before 'demanding' he handed over his mobile phone and Airpods.
The two teens then took off with the victim's personal and valuable belongings.
Essex Police officers are investigating the incident, and are looking for anyone with relevant information or footage.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We are investigating a robbery in Basildon where a teenager had his phone and air pods stolen."
"It was reported two teenage boys had approached the victim – who is a 16 year-old boy – in the Fodderwick area of Basildon shortly after 7.10pm on Saturday 2 November.
"They threatened him with a knife and demanded his phone and air pods which they then made off with.
"The boys are both described as around 16 years-old and around 5ft 8ins tall.
"One is described as black and was wearing a black tracksuit and black balaclava.
"The other is described as white with short dark brown hair, and wearing a black tracksuit, blue surgical mask, black baseball cap, and had a diamond stud in his right ear.
"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
"Please quote the crime reference number 42/166488/24."
