A cannabis farm has been discovered by police at an address in south Essex as a woman is arrested.
Essex Police attended an address in Stanford-le-Hope at around 1:15am today, for a separate matter.
However, while they were at the address officers discovered a number of cannabis plants and a cultivation set up inside.
A woman, 47, was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “A woman has been arrested after a number of cannabis plants were found at an address in Stanford-le-Hope.
“Officers had attended the address for a separate matter shortly before 1.15am today.
“While there they discovered the plants and a cultivation set up, inside.
“A 47 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.
“She is currently in custody and our enquiries are ongoing.“
