Two dispersal orders have been put in place to tackle anti-social use of fireworks after issues on Halloween night.
The order will run from 4pm today, November 5 until 5am tomorrow, November 6.
The areas covered are shown on the maps, and include part of Tarpots, as well as around businesses in Furtherwick Road, Canvey.
The order has been put in place following reports of fireworks being set off irresponsibly.
Essex Police say that this order allows us to prevent and disrupt incidents of anti-social behaviour in the district and allow others to enjoy their evenings responsibly.
This comes after issues in both Benfleet, and on Canvey, on Halloween, where fireworks were reportedly set off towards cars and businesses. This led to two dispersal orders being issued on October 31.
Insp David Kealy, of Castle Point Community Poling Team, said: “We have taken this course of action to enable officers to maintain order by giving them the powers they need to deal robustly and quickly with instances of anti-social behaviour and the anti-social use of fireworks.
“We have increased and dedicated staff working for Guy Fawkes Night to ensure the public remain safe and to deal robustly with offenders.
“We want the public to enjoy this period and not be deterred by a minority of lawbreakers.”
