c2c Rail has announced major disruptions between Grays and Pitsea via Tilbury following the discovery of a "wartime bomb" near the railway.
From 11:30am, trains will be unable to stop at affected stations, with rail replacement buses scheduled to operate between the stations from 12pm.
The discovery of a wartime bomb has prompted immediate safety precautions and commuters are advised to expect delays and consider alternative travel options where possible.
A spokesman for c2c tweeted: "Due to a wartime bomb near the railway, services will be unable to stop between Grays and Pitsea via Tilbury from 11:30am.
"Rail replacement buses will be running between stations from 12pm.
