A number of car parking spaces at south Essex railway stations will be temporarily closed this winter.
Rail operator c2c has announced the closures at Southend Central, Westcliff, Leigh, and Shoebury stations to allow for essential maintenance works.
At Southend Central, platform repair works are scheduled from November 15 to December 16.
This will result in a large section of the station car park being closed to the public.
Only 54 of the 250 car parking spaces will be available from Monday to Friday, with just 25 spaces accessible at weekends.
At Leigh, work has already begun by Network Rail who are undertaking essential structural maintenance works at Chalkwell, which will necessitate the use of an area of the station car park for access and storage purposes.
This will result in the withdrawal of 41 car parking spaces from Monday to Friday and 77 at weekends; the work will continue until December 20.
Shoeburyness station will be affected by platform canopy repair works, which will result in a reduction of six car parking spaces between November 13 and December 17.
As a result, 78 of the usual 84 car parking spaces will be available.
Westcliff station will also experience a reduction in parking spaces due to platform resurfacing works from November 25 to December 20.
This will result in the withdrawal of three car parking spaces, leaving 36 available.
Amandeep Sogi, head of customer experience at c2c, said: "c2c would like to apologise for any inconvenience that the temporary withdrawal of car parking spaces at our stations in the Southend area may cause customers.
"We are working closely with our appointed maintenance contractors to ensure that any disruption is kept to a minimum and that all works are completed on time."
Mr Sogi also advised regular users of c2c's station car parks to check the c2c app or website for the availability of parking spaces before making their journey.
Owned by Trenitalia, c2c has nearly 35.8 million journeys made on its services every year.
It serves a total of 26 stations in east London and south Essex.
