One of the victims of a Southend burglar, who has been sentenced to more than 11 years, has been revealed as England and Arsenal footballer Raheem Sterling.

Emiliano Krosi, 24, of Ditton Court Road, Southend, has been jailed for 11 years and three months after being found guilty of 33 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary.

Investigators estimate that approximately £1,139,000 worth of items were stolen in this period.

According to The Sun, Krosi was part of a gang that broke into Raheem Sterling’s home and stole an estimated £300,000 of designer gear.

The incident forced the England star to fly home from the World Cup following the break-in.

Krosi had a specific checklist for the homes he targeted and would use "pins" for locations of houses that he had already burgled.

He preferred large, detached houses in affluent areas, situated on private roads with large rear gardens.

These gardens often backed onto fields or golf courses, providing him with an extra level of privacy while committing his crimes.

Krosi would commonly smash the window of the first-floor master bedroom and proceed to steal cash, jewellery, watches, or designer items.

Upon searching his phone, police say a large amount of evidence was uncovered, including photos of stolen designer goods and "pins" for locations of houses that he had already burgled or was planning to.

He would also often search the value of stolen items just after he had carried out the burglary.

Fortunately, a number of stolen items including Rolexes, designer bags, and jewellery were successfully recovered by officers.

Alfred Isufi, 49, Gerard Kalaja, 23, and Henri Osmani, 45, are also wanted by police in connection to this investigation and it is believed they are no longer in the UK.

According to The Sun, other victims included ex-Crystal Palace player Scott Dann and Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, whose home was targeted days before Raheem Sterling's.
