These five perfect pooches at Basildon's Dogs Trust rehoming centre are looking for their forever homes.

Norris, Staffordshire Bull Terrier

This two-year-old boy is desperately looking for his forever home and to be united with his new family. He came to the centre as a stray and staff have said he has proved to be a “friendly boy who loves to be with people,” and added any alone time will need to be build up slowly. Staff have said he can live with children aged 11 and over. Dogs Trust’s training team are able to help with ongoing training, but added a good understanding of “dog reactivity” would be advisable.

Pip, Border Collie

This lovely girl is seeking her forever home and would prefer to be the only pet in the home. The centre have said this pooch will need her own secure garden where she can build up her confidence. They added she will need someone around here at the beginning as she works towards being left alone. Pip has been described by staff as a “nervous girl,” and can live with people aged 16 and over.

Andy, Crossbreed

This excitable two-year-old lad needs a new family who can dedicate themselves to his training. The centre added Andy needs to work on his social skills with other dogs, and have said the team will provide support to anyone looking to adopt the canine. They have recommended he be the only dog in the home, but have said he would do well to have a couple of walking pals.

Solomon, Border Collie

This lad is looking for a home where he can be the only dog in the home, but the centre have said he can have walking buddies. He is looking for someone to be around all of the time as can distressed when left alone. Solomon has a history of guarding both toys and food, and the centre have said experience in this area would be an advantage but not essential.
