A TEENAGER has been charged with weapons offence after he was found to be carrying a knife in Rochford.
The teenager has been charged with a weapons offence after alert officers carried out a stop-and-search in Rochford.
Officers on patrol in Southend Road shortly after 4.20am on Friday November 15 saw someone acting in a way they described as ‘suspiciously’.
They stopped him and carried out a stop-and-search and discovered a knife.
The 17 year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and later charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday November 16) and is next due to appear at the same court on December 6.
