A FRESH appeal has been made for missing man Philip Abbott, who was last seen in Basildon.
Philip Abbott, 45, from Basildon, has been missing since November 15.
The last confirmed sighting of him was in the area of Basildon Hospital at around 9.10pm on Friday November 15.
He may also have subsequently been spotted in the Repton Close area on Saturday November 16, although this sighting is unconfirmed at this stage.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We’ve been working to find him and continue to appeal for anyone who may have seen him to come forward.
"He is likely on foot, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black joggers and white trainers with blue and pink patterns.
"Philip is described as white, around five foot 11 inches, with short black/grey hair, wearing black rimmed glasses.
"Philip has links to Dagenham and Chelmsford."
Superintendent Leigh Norris said: “We’re growing increasingly concerned for Philip’s welfare and I have a team of officers dedicated to pursuing a number of lines of enquiry to find him.
“I need the public in the Basildon area to commit his image to memory and consider whether they may have seen him over the weekend or on Friday.
“We’re specifically asking taxi and delivery drivers who may have been working around the areas mentioned over the weekend to consider whether they may have seen someone matching Philip’s description.
“Any piece of information, no matter how small, could prove pivotal for our investigation.”
If you have any information as to his whereabouts, please call 999 quoting incident 1234 of 15 November.
