Police have launched an appeal after a woman was found injured next to an e-scooter on a road in south Essex.

The woman was discovered at A1306, in Thurrock, at around 8pm yesterday. Next to the woman was an e-scooter.

She was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury, where she remains.

Essex Police are working to establish what happened before the woman was found by a member of the public.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV, dash cam, or other footage to get in contact.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We are asking for the public’s help following an incident in Thurrock.

"A woman was found injured at A1306 near Sainsbury’s at around 8pm on Monday, November 18.

"She was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury, where she remains.

"Next to the woman was an e-scooter.

"We are working hard to establish what happened in the time period before she was found by a member of the public.

"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.

"Please quote incident 1208 of 18 November when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible."
