Three teenagers have been arrested after reports of a fight “with weapons” in the city centre in Southend.
Essex Police say there were reports of a fight amongst a group of people in Quebec Avenue, Southend, shortly after 2.05pm yesterday.
Witnesses described seeing those involved with their faces covered and with “weapons” – believed to be knives.
Officers attended the area and arrested a 19-year-old man and two 17-year-old boys on suspicion of affray.
They are currently in custody and police enquiries are continuing.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a fight in Southend.
“It was reported a group of people in the Quebec Avenue shortly after 2.05pm on Thursday 21 November.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote the crime reference number 42/176203/24.”
