A WINTER wonderland featuring a fully-covered ice rink and exhilarating rides has been unveiled at Lakeside shopping centre.
Following on from its Halloween success, Lakeside’s fun park attraction The Destination has been transformed into a Christmas extravaganza.
The festive fun park was unveiled on Tuesday with a grand opening featuring a host of famous faces from Billie and Greg Shepherd to Dan Osborne, Jacqueline Jossa and family.
The all-weather ice rink has already proved to be popular, and was officially opened by a performance from Dancing On Ice professionals Annette Dytrt, Molly Lanaghan and Vanessa James, to the delight of the onlooking crowd.
The new festive rides have also been popular with children and adults alike, including a snow dome waltzer, Santa’s roller coaster, and the towering observation wheel for a bird’s eye view of the park.
There are also seasonal games to enjoy such as ‘catch a Santa Claus’ where players can win prizes.
Brogan Bowden, owner of The Destination at Lakeside. said: “We are so pleased to announce that The Christmas Destination at Lakeside is officially open.
“Come and pay us a visit for the ultimate festive day or night out, with everything you need to get the full Christmas wonderland experience – including our ice rink, live entertainment, rides and games and of course, delicious food and drink.
“So get your skates on – you won’t want to miss this.”
For extra excitement, there is an impressive lineup of live entertainment to enjoy, including DJs and singers as well as a visit from The Grinch who will be taking over the park on Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8.
Entry is free to The Destination, and tokens for rides, games and food are £1.20 each or 10 for £10.
