A LARGE police presence has been reported in Shoebury this evening as a key road has been shut off.
Barge Pier Road has reportedly been closed off from Ness Road to Magazine Road, near the former Shoebury Garrison site.
Residents have reported seeing a large police presence in the area.
The nature of the incident officers are dealing with is unconfirmed at this stage.
Essex Police has been contacted for further comment.
