Courts: South Essex drivers banned in recent weeks

 A BANNED driver caught behind the wheel in Basildon has been given unpaid work.

Alice Koskova, 55, was found driving a Volkswagen in Burnt Mills Road when she was banned from driving on July 9.

She was also uninsured at the time.

Koskova, of Cranfield Park Avenue, North Benfleet, admitted both offences at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, November 5, where she was ordered to take part in 60 hours of unpaid work.

She was also banned from driving for a further six months and ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs.

A DRUG driver caught behind the wheel has been banned from the roads.

Sebastian Adamczyk, 29, was driving a Citroen Berlingo on Miles Gray Road in Basildon when he was found with 2.3 micrograms of THC - the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis - per litre of blood in his system on February 20. 

He had also been driving without a licence and insurance.

Adamczyk, of Grasmere Avenue, Slough, admitted all offences at Reading Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday where he was banned from driving for a year and four months. He was also ordered to pay a total of £1,000 in fines.

AN uninsured driver who failed to stop at the scene of a crash has been banned from the roads.

Alfie Kavanagh, 20, was driving a BMW in Foksville Road on Canvey when he left the scene after a crash on April 24 where a lamppost was damaged.

He was also found without a licence, insurance and was in possession of cannabis.

Kavanagh, of Robinson Road, Tower Hamlets, admitted the offences at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on November 7 where he was banned from driving for six months and fined £160.

A DRINK driver caught behind the wheel on a major road has been hit with a ban.

Benjamin Parker, 30, was driving an Audi A3 on the A13 Southend-bound, near Lakeside, when he was found with 69 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on October 25.

He was also found in possession of cocaine.

Parker, of Tern Close, Mayland, admitted both offences at Southend Magistrates’ Court last Monday where he was banned from driving for a year and six months. He was also handed 60 hours of unpaid work.

A VAN driver caught behind the wheel without insurance has been banned from the roads.

Doris Ndrevataj, 23, was driving a Ford Transit on Sandleigh Road in Leigh when there was no insurance in force covering her van on December 29 last year.

She admitted the offence at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 7, where she was banned from driving for half a year.

Ndrevataj, of Dalmatia Road, Southend was also fined £220 and ordered to pay a £88 surcharge to fund victim services.

A DRINK-DRIVER caught in Westcliff has been banned from the roads for two years.

Dean Maynard, 31, was behind the wheel of a Nissan Juke in Fairfax Drive when he was found with 84 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on November 9. The limit is 35.

He had also left the scene of a crash in Eastwood Boulevard, failed to stop for police and had been driving without a licence or insurance.

Maynard, of Fairfax Drive, Westcliff, admitted all offences at Southend Magistrates’ Court last Monday, when he was banned from driving for two years and given a prison sentence of 14 weeks, suspended for a year.

A BANNED motorist caught behind the wheel in Billericay has been handed a suspended sentence.

Dean Clark, 29, was driving a Vauxhall in Radford Way when he was banned from the roads on November 7.

He admitted the offence at Southend Magistrates’ Court last Monday and was given a two-year suspended prison sentence of 24 weeks.

Clark, of Monoux Close, Billericay, was also ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for three years.

He must pay £85 prosecution costs, the court heard.

A DRINK driver caught above the limit near a shopping centre has been banned from the roads.

Patrick Mongan, of Southend Arterial Road, Nevendon, was driving in Regents Circus, Swindon, on November 2 when he was found with 59 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.

The 21-year-old admitted the offence at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he was banned from driving for a year and four months. He has also been ordered to pay a £120 fine, £85 costs and a £48 surcharge. 

A BANNED driver caught behind the wheel in Southend has been handed unpaid work.

Ben Hardy, 33, was driving a Vauxhall Movano in London Road on May 6 while a driving ban was in force.

Hardy, of Elm Road, Shoebury, admitted driving while disqualified at Southend Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 4, where he was ordered to take part in 160 hours of unpaid work.

He was also banned from driving for three years and five months, hit with £85 prosecution costs and a £114 surcharge.

A DRINK driver caught above the limit in Rayleigh has been handed unpaid work.

Ray King, of Stile Lane, Rayleigh, was driving a Ford Transit van in Uplands Park Road on September 11 when he was found with 109 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.

The 32-year-old admitted the offence at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 29, where he was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.

He has also been banned from driving for two years, ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £114 surcharge to fund victim services.
